Our client wanted to increase the monthly value of his furnished rental apartment and with our help, gained 30% more a month!

The design of the apartment was lovely to start with, with an atypical high ceiling design, a mezzanine  and nice marble tile floors… Although, the place was run down after years of negligent renters.

For the living room, the place needed a very deep clean, and floor polishing. All the walls needed to be repaired as well as the joints, and the baseboards. Next, the electric window shades needed to be replaced.

For the new room decor, we chose a color palette of “Bleu Cyclone” from Ressources for the accent wall to add drama and depth, and a pure white for the other walls to bring in a maximum amount of natural light.

The sourcing for this project was a little tricky as the client’s budget was very tight and all of the products needed to be durable for rental use. Because of this, we opted for second hand finds, like that great leather couch and the old wood dining table. To avoid the decor looking too stuffy, we paired the second hand items with modern touches such as the contemporary style chairs, which we coincidentally also found second hand.

The result is a beautiful, cozy and functional room that is attractive to higher-budget clients, and tough enough to comfortably withstand a high turn over of renters.
